The Grimm fairy tale about
Snow White and the seven dwarfs forms the basic structure
of the performance, while the motive from 'The picture of
Dorian Gray' by Oscar Wilde, adds to the fairy tale the notion
of beauty as enchantment and curse. Finally the lives and
conditions of the performers themselves create other stories,
that intertwine in the well known structure of the fairy tale.
Stories and statements from real life, which mirrors the adventurous
reality and creates fix points in the mental landscape.
The performers are carefully selected
for this production: Snow White is played by a tall, good
looking young woman who lost her mother when she as seven
years old. Stepmother / mirror are played by two identical
twin sisters, very beautiful and dangerous to look at. The
hunter is doubled and performed by two well-built macho men.
The seven dwarfs are played by eight real dwarfs, and the
prince is a singing prince. All of them tell stories from
their personal lives.
