Coloplast is a worldwide provider of high-quality and innovative healthcare products and services within ostomy, continence, wound, breast and skin care.

Annette Meyer and textile designer Astrid Krogh worked for three years on the development of Corsinel; a compression underwear for ostomy patients with Hernia. They worked closely together with colostomy patients, the textile company TYTEX specialized in knitwear and Coloplast. Corsinel has been launched in The United Kingdom and Spain in April 2004 and is already now among the bestsellers within the Coloplast company

The purpose of the product is to raise the quality of life for stoma patients with hernia. From the beginning it was also important that the support underwear should look like normal underwear rather than a healthcare aid.

The project has been nominated for INDEX 2005 in Copenhagen.
